With the conclusion of the first segment of ‘Back to Village phase third’ (B2V3) covering 129 panchayats of the Kupwara district in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, visiting officers convened gram sabhas, mahila sabhas and bal sabhas, besides holding interactive meetings with Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs).
The designated officers also conducted visits to local institutions including Anganwadi, primary health centres, schools and different works of Rural Development Department in villages, and formulating plans for resolution of the issues of people besides distributing different kits among beneficiaries.
The visiting officers are preparing reports of the different resolutions passed in Gram sabhas, during the inspection which have to be submitted to District Administration for further course of action.
At Karnah, the B2V3 is being conducted at Khawarpora-A, Kawarpora-B, Nachiyan, Suliman, Tangdar-C and Semari located at Line of Actual Control (LAC) with greater participation of women in Mahila sabha, registering their demands for better healthcare, roads, power and water supply.
A cricket match was also held at Dudwayan Nachiyan by the concerned panchayat in collaboration with Youth Services and Sports department of Jammu and Kashmir.
People were seen participating with much enthusiasm for resolution of their problems at Sogam subdivision of the district where B2V3 activities were held at various places.
