In a review meeting chaired by Rohit Kansal Principal Secretary to the Jammu and Kashmir government (Power Development Department), it was decided that the augmentation of the capacity of grid station at Delina Baramulla will be completed by December end.With this augmentation, the capacity of Delina Grid Station would double from existing 160 MVA to 320 MVA. This, in turn, will significantly enhance the power supply position to Baramulla and Kupwara districts and bring relief to the people of the twin districts.Later in the day, Principal Secretary Kansal visited the Delina Grid Station and took stock of 160 MV augmentation project. B2V3’s first segment concludes with great enthusiasm in J&K’s Kupwara

With the conclusion of the first segment of ‘Back to Village phase third’ (B2V3) covering 129 panchayats of the Kupwara district in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, visiting officers convened gram sabhas, mahila sabhas and bal sabhas, besides holding interactive meetings with Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs).The designated officers also conducted visits to local institutions including Anganwadi, primary health centres, schools and different works of Rural Development Department in villages, and formulating plans for resolution of the issues of people besides distributing different kits among beneficiaries.The visiting officers are preparing reports of the different resolutions passed in Gram sabhas, during the inspection which have to be submitted to District Administrati

Under the much ambitious phase three of the ‘Back to Village’ (B2V3) running in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, District Development Commissioner (DDC) of Kupwara, Anshul Garg inaugurated a Skill Training Institute.The Institute provides multiple vocational training courses including fashion designing and plumber courses.
