Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan inaugurated the 21-day ‘Jan Abhiyan’ in the Union Territory’s Bandipora district by holding a public outreach program at Sumbal and distributing domicile certificates and sports kits among the youth.On the launching ceremony of Jan Abhiyan, Advisor Khan distributed 2000 domicile certificates among the local residents in a single day in Bandipora. He also distributed sports kits among different sports clubs of the Sumbal sub-division.He also interacted with more than 28 delegations who apprised him of their grievances and demands pertaining to development of their respective areas.While responding to the grievances of these delegations, Khan gave on the spot directions to the concerned officers for time bound redress

District level under 19 boys cricket competition which was inaugurated in the beginning of the month at Sports Stadium Nanil, in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag concluded successfully.Around 304 players from 19 higher schools took part in the tourney.The final match was played between HSS Mattan and HSS Salia.HSS Salia won the toss and decided to bat. The team scored 150 runs in allotted 20 overs for the loss of nine wickets.Shaarik from Salia hit a brilliant knock of quick 76 runs and was adjudged as man of the match. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha brought the entire population of the Union Territory under a health scheme that will run in convergence with the existing Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) of the central government.The LG launched the J&K Health Scheme with an aim to provide universal health benefits for which the annual financial implications would be Rs 123 crore.In his maiden press conference at Raj Bhawan, after he took over as the Lieutenant Governor, Sinha said, “It is probably the first of its kind health scheme in the country.”He urged people to pitch in ideas for giving a suitable name to the health scheme.The Lt Governor was flanked by BVR Subrahmanyam, Chief Secretary; Atal Dulloo Financial Commissioner Health and Medical Education;
