Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has said that if his party is outlawed, he would launch a new political party to run in the 2018 general elections and win them, according to a story in Dawn quoting Nikkei Asia.
English-language publication Dawn is from Pakistan.

Many government officials had asked for a ban on the party after the violent statewide riots on May 9 and the ensuing crackdown on the demonstrators and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf should be outlawed, according to Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah of Pakistan.

The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also said that his party would not oppose any effort to put a ban on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has stated that a move to that effect is being explored.
