J&K: Anantnag Gladiator wins South Kashmir Police Premier League

South Kashmir Police Premier League organised by India’s Jammu and Kashmir Police concluded with a thrilling match between Anantnag Gladiator and Anantnag Super Kings in which the former team took home the trophy with an edge of four wickets.
During the concluding ceremony in Anantnag district, J&K DGP, Dilbag Singh interacted with the players and distributed the trophies. He emphasised upon the role of youth in development of any society.
He further said that J&K Police is committed towards helping the youth of J&K emerge as champions in various walks of life including sports.
The humane angle to policing and empathy is the core value of policing, he said.
He also reminded the youth of challenges and hardships that three decades of terrorism have caused to the people of Kashmir. He appealed to the youth to value the most precious asset to mankind.
The DGP was of the view that career progression through sports and backing by the private sector is the need of the hour.
Other officers present on the occasion were DIG SKR Atul Goel, DC Anantnag, SSP Anantnag and other officers of the district police.
