J&K: Martial arts, brain boosting training camp held at IDPS

International Delhi Public School, Srinagar (IDPS) in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Tong il Moo Do Association (JKTMA) organised a martial art training, brain boosting exercise program.
Former minister Ghulam Hassan Mir inaugurated the championship and Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Development Foundation, Bilal Ahmad inaugurated the Karate championship.
Vice-president Tong il Moo Do Federation India, Farooq Renzu Shah; Chairman of JKTMA, Showkat Mohammad Chowdhary; JKTMA President, Tariq Rashid Ghani; Joint Secretary Shabir Hussain; Patron Nazir Makhdoomi, and Secretary General Safina Maqbool were also present on the occasion.
The event was sponsored by Hattrick Foods and was held at International Delhi Public School, Zakura Srinagar.
The competition went smoothly and all the SOPs were followed strictly in adherence to the coronavirus outbreak.
JKTMA Chairman, Showkat Mohammad Chowdhary said sports is an important part of children’s life and it develops the overall personality, training the child to face the competitive atmosphere in every field of life.
During the championship, future courses of action were discussed on how awareness on COVID-19 and its preventive measures can be taken by the martial arts students. Players from different districts of the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir turned up for the event and participated with zeal.
