J&K: Four-day Khelo Kashmir sports event commences in Srinagar

In the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, a four-day long ‘Khelo Kashmir’ martial arts sports competition, organised by Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports (NSNIS), commenced in Srinagar on Sunday.The event has been organized in collaboration with local sports organisations at Indoor Sports Hall at Polo Ground in which hundreds of players are participating.Due to government protocols, amid pandemic only three sports-- Taekwondo, Karate and Kickboxing -- are being played in this event.The players participating in this event hailed this step taken by the NSNIS as it will help them to overcome the losses they suffered in sports activities."These types of tournaments need to take place as it would give experience to all the children. J&K: Volleyball Championship League by 19 Rashtriya Rifles concludes

With the aim to constructively engage the youth of Anantnag district in Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), 19 Rashtriya Rifles of Larkipora, under the aegis of headquarters 2 Sector, organized a volleyball tournament at Dialgam Company operating base.A total of 16 teams from Anantnag participated in the championship. The final match was played on November 13 between Brienty and Kanganhal villages in polytechnic college, Larkipora. The district level inter-school tournament has successfully concluded in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Around 304 players from 19 higher schools took part in the tournament.The final match was played between HSS Mattan and HSS Salia.HSS Salia won the toss and decided to bat. J&K: Wath Haawuk organises athletic meet ‘Kashmir Grand Prix’

Numerous athletes participated in the much-awaited ‘Kashmir Grand Prix’ athletic meet organized by NGO Wath Haawuk at Gindun ground in Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) with NIS qualified coach Tahir Mir overseeing all the competitions.The day started off with Men's 1500m race which was won by Gulbadan Hikmatyar, while Umer Hamid and Sajad Hussain came second and thirds respectively.
