Singapore Airlines (SQ) and American Express announced significant upgrades to their joint Business Credit Card, offering improved travel rewards and redemption options for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
The updated benefits will take effect from April 23, 2025, providing business owners with more value from their travel spending.
HighFlyer points to KrisFlyer miles
The refreshed card increases the limit for converting HighFlyer points to KrisFlyer miles from 100,000 to 150,000 miles, with conversions available at a 1:1 ratio.
Card members can now redeem KrisFlyer Elite Gold status for 100,000 HighFlyer points, down from the standard requirement of 125,000 points, offering faster access to premium travel benefits.
Businesses new to the HighFlyer program receive 10,000 HighFlyer points after completing their first flight booked through the Singapore Airlines (SQ) HighFlyer booking portal. Corporate travellers can access accelerated KrisFlyer Elite Gold status with a minimum spend of S$15,000 on eligible Singapore Airlines (SQ) and Scoot (TR) flights during the first year of Card Membership.
Card members also earn 6,000 HighFlyer points when paying their annual renewal membership fee
Enhanced Reward Structure
The card offers an earning rate of up to 8 HighFlyer points per S$1 spent on Singapore Airlines (SQ) or Scoot flights (TR), broken down as:
2 HighFlyer points per S$1 spent on eligible Singapore Airlines (SQ) Group transactions
1 bonus HighFlyer point per S$1 spent on qualifying Singapore Airlines (SQ) and Scoot (TR) flights
A base rate of 5 HighFlyer points per S$1 spent is awarded to HighFlyer members purchasing eligible flight tickets
For all other eligible spending, card members earn 1.2 HighFlyer points per S$1 spent.
The card maintains existing benefits including:
0% interest on six-month installments for Singapore Airlines flights
Accor Plus membership with complimentary annual night stay and dining discounts across AccorHotels properties in Asia Pacific
Hertz Gold status with 10% off retail rates and car class upgrades
