Propaganda has not changed in Bangladesh, hatred is being spread from abroad

Even after Sheikh Hasina’s exile, the anti-India slander in Bangladesh did not stop. Propaganda is also going on against the interim government sitting on foreign soil. Although Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus talked about communal harmony, the vested interests have started the strategy of embarrassing the caretaker government. There is a deep conspiracy of BNP and Jamaat behind this. Dr. Maruf Mallick in Germany and Pinaki Bhattacharya in France are leading the propaganda as BNP spokespersons.  ‘Inqilab’, known as the mouthpiece of fundamentalists, has started campaigning for them in Bangladesh. They have started an anti-India campaign to endanger the new government. Because it is impossible for the interim government to bring the prices of goods within the reach of Bangladesh if Indian goods do not come. Understanding this, they want to put the government in trouble. So the anti-India campaign has started in full swing. People are being irritated again. Jamaat and BNP leaders are trying to reduce their popularity in the interim government.

India’s declared foreign policy, they will not interfere in the internal affairs of Bangladesh. Even after the change of government, India has not made any negative statement about the neighboring country so far. Under special circumstances, Delhi has been forced to give asylum to Sheikh Hasina at the request of Bangladesh. But Delhi did not make a mistake in welcoming the new government led by Nobel laureate economist Muhammad Yunus. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Yunus. Before taking charge of the interim government, the chief adviser also said that “Delhi and Dhaka can be best friends”. Not only that, Bangladesh’s interim government’s foreign affairs adviser Md Towhid Hossain said after talks with foreign diplomats on Monday that even if Sheikh Hasina stays in India for a long time, there will not be much impact on Dhaka-Delhi or bilateral relations with the new government. Bilateral relations are a big deal. It doesn’t affect that kind of thing. ’

India is not only the closest neighbour of Bangladesh but also historically a friend. There is no change in this relationship even in the change of government in Bangladesh or India. Delhi maintained good relations even when the BNP-Jamaat alliance government was in Bangladesh under the leadership of Begum Khaleda Zia. Dhaka-Kolkata, Agartala-Dhaka bus movement is a great example of this. As Prime Minister, Khaleda Zia also did not find any flaw in state hospitality during her visit to India. Similarly, whether the Congress or the BJP comes to power in Delhi, there is no change in India’s foreign policy. India has always believed in one policy when it comes to foreign policy. Don’t interfere in other countries. But quoting ‘Asia Mirror’, ‘Inquilab’ has started propaganda.  Like the ‘Maldives Style’ of 1988 or the ‘Indian Peace Keeping Force’ in Sri Lanka in 1987, India wants to enter Bangladesh!  Such a gossip story cannot be imagined by anyone who has the slightest idea about India. Because Delhi never thought of sending peace forces to Bangladesh. In 1971, the Indian army left Bangladesh before any questions were raised. Then the August assassination of 1975 or during the tenure of General HM Ershad was also heard. But India had proved that it had no intention of entering other countries. Maldives or Sri Lanka is completely different. There is no comparison with Bangladesh.

Sheikh Hasina has been kept in a secret camp in India. He can’t even see his own daughter. There is no question of the Indian media getting access to him. His son Sajeeb Wazed Joy is in the USA. But propaganda is going on about India about Hasina. However, India is constantly saying that they are not willing to interfere in the affairs of Bangladesh. It is true that Delhi is worried about the attacks on minorities in Bangladesh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has expressed this concern. India’s opposition parties have also expressed concern. Indians believe that the new government will quickly restore security to minorities.

Chief of Army Staff General Waqar-uz-Zaman on Monday admitted that minorities are being attacked in Bangladesh. He said the army could not ensure the safety of all as 200,000 police personnel observed the strike. The interim government has also repeatedly talked about the security of minorities. Even Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman also accepted the attacks on minorities. So even though media like Asia Mirror or Inquilab are spreading propaganda, the real situation says that minorities are affected in Bangladesh. Hindu rallies were held in at least 27 places across the country, including Shahbagh in Dhaka and Cheragi Hill in Chittagong. Many people throng those gatherings.

Not only the Indian media, but the whole world is worried about the attacks on minorities in Bangladesh. The United Hindus of USA, an organization of expatriates, held a protest rally in front of the United Nations headquarters. A large number of Bangladeshis joined the rally at Hammarsjolt Park near the UN headquarters in New York on Friday afternoon. “We want to ensure that the violence that has taken place in Bangladesh in recent weeks is reduced,” said Farhan Haq, deputy spokesman for the UN secretary-general. We stand against incitement to racist violence of any kind. In the United Kingdom, Hindus staged a dharna in front of the Westminster Parliament at 12:30 pm on Saturday. Canada’s opposition Conservative Party leader Pierre Polivre also expressed concern over the current situation in Bangladesh in a statement. In a statement, he said, “The Conservative Party wants to stand beside the people of Bangladesh in this difficult time. We are concerned that hundreds of people have died and thousands have been injured due to the student movement. We are deeply concerned about the attacks on minorities, especially Hindus and Christians. “The Conservative Party always wants public safety. We condemn the attacks and killings of innocent people. At the same time, democracy, freedom, human rights and rule of law should be established in Bangladesh quickly.

Former Chief Justice of Bangladesh Obaidul Hassan gave a legal explanation to President Mohammad Shahabuddin to form an interim government before resigning. The caretaker government was formed with his advice. But propaganda is going on by making a story about the relationship between him and Indian intelligence.

August 15 is India’s Independence Day. The whole of India is busy celebrating the day. Even the Indian Embassy in Bangladesh celebrates the day like other countries of the world. This time the preparation is going on. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members were assassinated on August 15. So the supporters of Awami League have decided to observe the day again. They will follow in their own way, that’s normal. It has nothing to do with Delhi. Yet the people of Bangladesh are being enraged by implicating Delhi. This anger and propaganda of Bangladeshis is spreading the poison of hatred against Bangladesh in India as well. As a result, there is a demand for ‘boycott Bangladesh’ in India.  The anti-Bangladesh campaign has already started, but it will hurt Bangladesh more.

Democracy is very strong in India. So the media here can express their independent opinion. The independent media in India is not controlled by the government. So those who are running anti-Bangladesh propaganda sitting on foreign soil are actually doing business of spreading fake propaganda from fake accounts. Their goal, not Sheikh Hasina or the Awami League, is to destabilize Bangladesh. Incidentally, the interim government should keep in mind that BNP and Jamaat have good relations with these propagandists.
